AutoCAD Technician (2D/Land & Planning)

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D mapping drawings for land consents and purchases regarding OHL and cable routes
• Develop and implement drawing solutions for land purchase and planning agreements
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Manage and progress allocated workloads efficiently to meet project deadlines
• Maintain and update drawing office databases and contribute to auditable design change systems
• Review drawing documentation and provide guidance to team members
• Communicate progress and potential issues to the drawing office manager, design leads, and clients

Requirements

• HNC in CAD or proven engineering experience within a drawing office environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk products
• Experience using Vault, ACC, and ProjectWise
• Strong understanding of 2D drawing production, including plans, sections, and elevations
• Knowledge of British standards (BS) and technical detailing
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Full UK driving license
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
