Auto Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and diagnostics on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and carry out necessary repairs
• Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations
• Execute work orders by following service instructions provided by service advisors or workshop supervisors
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean, functional, and used safely
• Adhere to workshop safety standards and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Record parts used, work performed, and time spent on job cards or digital systems
• Collaborate with technicians, service advisors, and parts personnel to ensure high-quality service delivery

Requirements

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, lifts, and workshop equipment
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair procedures
• Valid driving license

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a dealership environment
• Manufacturer-specific training or certification
