Auto Repair Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced mechanical repairs, including engine performance, drivability, and electrical systems
• Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering, suspension, and heating/air conditioning systems
• Complete 4-wheel alignments and ensure vehicles meet CarMax Quality Standards
• Consult with customers regarding repair needs and explain services performed
• Manage parts inventory, receive shipments, and maintain proper stocking levels
• Review and close repair orders accurately, including labor, parts, and billing documentation
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area following 5S principles and EH&S requirements

Requirements

• ASE Certifications A1-A8 (where required by State/Local law)
• Proven expertise in mechanical repair and vehicle diagnostics
• Ability to read, interpret, and record data accurately
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

• Competitive hourly rate ranging from $38.40 - $57.60
