Auto Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain, and upgrade
• Conduct routine maintenance work including replacing fluids and lubricating parts
• Identify, repair, or replace broken or dysfunctional parts
• Provide accurate estimates for cost, time, and effort for repair jobs
• Keep records of services performed and parts consumed
• Order parts as required
• Maintain vehicles and tools in good condition
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an auto mechanic
• Strong diagnostic skills and experience with automotive systems
• Ability to lift heavy parts and tools
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification from a vocational school or technical college
• ASE certification
