Auto Claim Examiner

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze personal or commercial auto claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages
• Communicate with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and other involved parties to gather facts and documentation
• Evaluate police reports, accident photos, and other evidence to support claim decisions
• Calculate and negotiate settlements within company guidelines and authority limits
• Coordinate with repair shops and legal professionals as needed
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies, including identifying potential fraudulent claims
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and develop action plans for timely investigations
• Manage active file diaries to ensure efficient case resolution

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of 1 year of Auto Claims Adjusting experience (Personal, Commercial, and/or Total Loss)
• Strong understanding of insurance contracts, legal requirements, and regulations
• Proven investigation techniques and negotiation skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in an onsite office environment
