Autism Classroom Teacher Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instruction, behavior management, and discrete trials
• Teach small groups of students
• Graph data and provide administrative support
• Implement behavioral support aligned to individual behavior intervention plans
• Supervise students during transitions, breakfast, lunch, and afterschool
• Participate in staff orientation, training, and professional development sessions

Requirements

• Experience working in special class settings with Autistic students
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to the mission of educating urban students
• Flexibility and ability to handle unpredictability

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• RBT training
• Prior experience working in schools or urban communities
