About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform audits including scheduling, scope, sampling, and logistics
- Execute visits to rural properties and processing/storage facilities
- Verify CAFE Practices requirements (social/labor, environmental, traceability, and record management) through interviews and document analysis
- Conduct opening and closing meetings and communicate findings and non-conformities
- Prepare reports with verifiable evidence within quality standards and deadlines
Requirements
- Higher education or technical degree in Agronomy, Environmental/Forestry Engineering, Environmental Management, Biological Sciences, Occupational Safety, Administration, or related fields
- Experience in audits, inspections, or technical work with coffee cultivation, cooperatives, processing, or socio-environmental compliance
- Practical knowledge of field routines and document analysis
- Solid understanding of labor and occupational health and safety (SST) legislation and basic environmental requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with CAFE Practices (auditor or working with Starbucks suppliers)
- Experience with standards such as Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, Organic, ISO 14001/45001, or SMETA/ETI
- Audit courses (Internal/Lead Auditor, social audit, chain of custody)
- Familiarity with dry/wet processing, storage, and batch traceability
- Ability to travel or reside in the Monte Carmelo region
