Auditor CAFE Practices

Responsibilities

• Perform audits including scheduling, scope, sampling, and logistics
• Execute visits to rural properties and processing/storage facilities
• Verify CAFE Practices requirements (social/labor, environmental, traceability, and record management) through interviews and document analysis
• Conduct opening and closing meetings and communicate findings and non-conformities
• Prepare reports with verifiable evidence within quality standards and deadlines

Requirements

• Higher education or technical degree in Agronomy, Environmental/Forestry Engineering, Environmental Management, Biological Sciences, Occupational Safety, Administration, or related fields
• Experience in audits, inspections, or technical work with coffee cultivation, cooperatives, processing, or socio-environmental compliance
• Practical knowledge of field routines and document analysis
• Solid understanding of labor and occupational health and safety (SST) legislation and basic environmental requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with CAFE Practices (auditor or working with Starbucks suppliers)
• Experience with standards such as Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, Organic, ISO 14001/45001, or SMETA/ETI
• Audit courses (Internal/Lead Auditor, social audit, chain of custody)
• Familiarity with dry/wet processing, storage, and batch traceability
• Ability to travel or reside in the Monte Carmelo region
