About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee assurance engagements for nonprofit, real estate, manufacturing, and construction clients
- Prepare and review audits, compilations, and review engagements
- Review accounting data and financial statements adhering to budget and guidelines
- Identify and research assurance-related questions and workflow efficiencies
- Serve as a primary client contact and build trusted relationships
- Supervise, train, and mentor 2–3 direct reports, including staff and interns
- Stay current on GAAP, SAS, and GAGAS changes
- Collaborate with firm leadership on engagement execution and process improvement
Requirements
- 3+ years of public accounting experience with an assurance background
- Strong technical knowledge of assurance engagement levels
- Ability to manage and develop a team
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
- Experience at a firm of meaningful scale and complexity
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA license
- Experience with CCH Engagement software
