Audit Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead internal audit activities related to Financial Crimes and AML to provide independent assurance over the Bank's internal controls and risk management.
• Support the execution of assigned audits, including audit testing, management discussions, and documentation of work performed.
• Act as Officer-In-Charge (OIC) for low to medium complexity audits, overseeing planning, execution, and reporting.
• Assist in managing the AML Audit Program, including test scripts, annual planning, quarterly reporting, and continuous monitoring of Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions, and KYC areas.
• Identify root causes of control weaknesses and prepare findings for presentation to management, following up on corrective actions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and regulators.
• Support a high-performance environment by coaching and developing team members.

Requirements

• University or post-secondary degree in Business or an equivalent field.
• At least 2+ years of relevant experience in audit or a related business function.
• Expertise in BSA/AML laws and regulations, including experience with OSFI and FINTRAC requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in using data analytics or visualization tools.
• Proven ability to work in high levels of ambiguity and within rapidly changing environments.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to execute and supervise multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications such as CAMS, CPA, CFA, or CISA.
