Audit Director - AI Assurance

Responsibilities

• Lead independent assurance over the firm’s use of Artificial Intelligence, including Generative and Agentic AI systems.
• Shape and deliver a forward-looking audit strategy covering the end-to-end AI lifecycle.
• Provide credible challenge to engineering, data science, and product teams regarding AI deployment.
• Assess controls mitigating risks such as hallucinations, bias, data leakage, prompt injection, and adversarial attacks.
• Communicate complex technical findings and recommendations to senior managers, directors, and executive stakeholders.
• Identify regulatory news and industry trends to provide timely insight into emerging AI risks and best practices.
• Manage a significant sub-function, including resourcing, budgeting, and influencing function-wide strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in AI implementation and technical assurance of AI lifecycles.
• Deep expertise in AI governance, ethics, and risk management.
• Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders at a senior level.
• Strong analytical skills to solve problems in complex and sensitive technical situations.
• Ability to translate technical AI risks into clear, executive-ready language.
