Audit Director - AI Assurance

Responsibilities

• Lead independent assurance over the firm’s use of Artificial Intelligence, including Generative and Agentic AI systems.
• Shape and deliver a forward-looking audit strategy covering the end-to-end AI lifecycle.
• Provide credible challenge to engineering, data science, and product teams regarding AI deployment.
• Assess internal control effectiveness to ensure AI capabilities are controlled, compliant, and responsible.
• Provide assurance over controls mitigating risks such as hallucinations, bias, data leakage, prompt injection, and adversarial attacks.
• Communicate complex technical findings and key recommendations to senior managers, directors, and executive stakeholders.
• Identify regulatory news and industry trends to provide timely insight and recommendations for best practice.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in AI implementation and the AI lifecycle.
• Deep expertise in AI governance, ethics, and risk management.
• Proven ability to assess and mitigate AI-specific risks including bias and unintended outcomes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into executive-ready language.
• Experience navigating complex regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at a senior level.
