Audiovisual Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of media equipment and technical services for campus events, including lighting, sound, and video production.
• Manage the Event Media Support student team, including scheduling, training, and assigning work.
• Coordinate technical services for large-scale events such as Convocations and Commencement.
• Manage audiovisual equipment inventory, including routine maintenance, testing, repairs, and upgrades.
• Work with event producers to define technical requirements and procure necessary equipment or contract support.
• Perform preventive maintenance on event equipment to ensure availability and proper function.
• Provide high-level customer service and support for frequent evening and weekend event assignments.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of experience in live event and media production.
• Strong technical knowledge of lighting, video, audio, and media equipment.
• Demonstrated experience with AV equipment such as Crestron or Extron.
• Ability to supervise and manage student workers in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and navigate campus buildings independently.
