Audiologist

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic hearing assessments including pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, and air/bone conduction tests
• Provide clear and timely referrals to ENT specialists in line with clinical pathways
• Maintain high-quality communication with referring GPs to support collaborative patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation
• Adhere to BSA, BAA, and other national professional standards
• Participate in audit, quality governance, and service evaluation
• Support improvements to clinical pathways in collaboration with ENT and Audiology services
• Demonstrate safe practice in line with safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety policies
• Manage workload efficiently while delivering high-quality patient-centred care

Requirements

• HCPC registration
• Recognised qualification in Audiology
• Experience in adult audiology within a clinical setting
• Familiarity with BSA, NHSP, and BAA protocols
• Hearing aid skills
• Microsuction experience
• Good IT skills and deaf awareness
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• MSc in a related field
• BSL Stage 1–2 (or working towards)
• Experience using Auditbase
