About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up, test, operate, and break down AV equipment including sound systems, microphones, projectors, and lighting
- Conduct pre-event system checks to ensure equipment is configured to specifications
- Provide real-time technical support during events, managing audio levels and video feeds
- Troubleshoot and repair minor technical issues with AV systems
- Support hybrid and virtual events via streaming platforms and video conferencing tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom
- Maintain AV equipment inventory and perform routine maintenance
- Ensure all setups comply with safety standards and proper cable management
- Assist presenters with slide decks and audio/video playback
Requirements
- Experience setting up and operating professional audio-visual equipment
- Working knowledge of audio systems, video displays, projection, and lighting
- Proficiency with video conferencing platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move AV equipment and work on-site for extended periods
