Audio Visual Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up, test, operate, and break down AV equipment including sound systems, microphones, projectors, and lighting
• Conduct pre-event system checks to ensure equipment is configured to specifications
• Provide real-time technical support during events, managing audio levels and video feeds
• Troubleshoot and repair minor technical issues with AV systems
• Support hybrid and virtual events via streaming platforms and video conferencing tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom
• Maintain AV equipment inventory and perform routine maintenance
• Ensure all setups comply with safety standards and proper cable management
• Assist presenters with slide decks and audio/video playback

Requirements

• Experience setting up and operating professional audio-visual equipment
• Working knowledge of audio systems, video displays, projection, and lighting
• Proficiency with video conferencing platforms
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift and move AV equipment and work on-site for extended periods
