Audio Visual Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-production event consultation for faculty, staff, students, and community members.
• Manage live events, including sound reinforcement, A/V recording, live streaming, camera control, and video switching.
• Perform video post-production using Adobe Premiere and provide event photography.
• Maintain building automation controls utilizing Crestron, Biamp, and Dante to ensure smart classrooms function properly.
• Provide general help desk and technical support for Microsoft 365, PC, and Mac systems.
• Manage website event creation using Drupal CMS and Wufoo web forms.
• Maintain a wide range of technical equipment and assist in managing student workers.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a related technical field.
• Minimum of one year of related technical experience.
• Hands-on experience with video displays, microphones, and cameras.
• Proficiency with Crestron Automation and YouTube Live video switching.
• Strong proficiency with both PC and Mac computers.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to teach users how to operate AV equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed for events.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HTML and Graphic Design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and professional photography.
