Audio Visual Services Technician

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality audiovisual support for campus events, including conferences, lectures, and performances.
• Consult with clients to assess event requirements and recommend appropriate equipment and staffing solutions.
• Prepare event spaces with requested audiovisual setups and troubleshoot technical or media-related issues.
• Operate advanced sound, lighting, and multimedia presentation systems.
• Support webcasts, podcasts, and audio/video teleconferencing services.
• Develop and implement theatrical design elements, including scenic, staging, rigging, lighting, and sound.
• Maintain accurate equipment inventory and perform routine maintenance and repairs on AV equipment.
• Recruit, train, and supervise student employees in technical operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or 2-3 years of related experience/training.
• Proficiency in both Windows and macOS platforms.
• Knowledge of Extron, Crestron, and AMX control systems.
• Understanding of rigging, staging, lighting, and sound design principles.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform strenuous physical activity.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
