Audio Visual Event Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite AV operations, including event logistics, staffing, and equipment maintenance
• Provide ad-hoc troubleshooting for audio, video, lighting, and networking systems
• Coordinate with clients, sales, and production teams to ensure technological needs are met
• Direct and delegate day-to-day floor operations for AV personnel, including set and strike
• Lead, coach, and develop AV Operations staff through training and performance feedback
• Oversee event production planning to ensure alignment across schedules and budgets
• Manage vendor invoice approvals and support annual budgeting processes

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing AV and IT equipment and software systems
• Proven people management experience
• Extensive knowledge of analog/digital audio mixers, wireless microphones, and video switchers
• Understanding of Crestron control systems and hardware endpoints
• Basic knowledge of data networking principles, DHCP, and static IP addressing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Apple iWorks suites
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work on ladders
• Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service or hospitality industry experience
• Familiarity with Biamp Server/Forte systems
• Experience with livestreaming technologies, encoders, and virtual meeting platforms
