Audio Technician

Responsibilities

• Daily installation, set-up, operation, maintenance and testing of theatrical technical audio control equipment in the Walt Disney Theatre
• Responsible for battery replacement, general stage technical work and partnering with the Audio Technician Lead regarding sound quality
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repair of all audio control equipment and audio systems shipwide including Broadcast
• Run audio events shipwide as required
• Contribute to load in/out, cast changeovers, new show installations, equipment tests, vendor support, and company events
• Perform emergency abbreviated shows based on weather, safety, or technical requirements

Requirements

• Minimum three years musical theatre audio experience, preferably as Audio 2 or Audio assistant
• Confirmed experience with a music-based audio system
• Experience with Digital Audio Consoles, Wireless Mic Systems, and Talkback systems (Telex, RTS)
• Experience with in-ear monitoring systems (Shure)
• Ability to work at heights and with heavy equipment
• Ability to work in environments with haze, fog, dry ice, and special effects
• Willingness to live and work onboard a vessel in a multicultural environment
• Valid passport and ability to obtain a C1/D Seaman's visa
