Audio Render Experience Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed acoustic measurements on speaker systems using HATS, SoundCheck, and Audio Precision
• Execute complex render tuning workflows including EQ design, speaker protection, and distortion control
• Run power simulations to verify compliance with power budgets
• Carry out objective and subjective verification protocols and report KPI deviations
• Adjust tuning parameters based on KPI assessments and subjective evaluations
• Assess the acoustic impact of mechanical changes on render performance
• Create and validate measurement data and generate standardized performance reports
• Troubleshoot render pipeline issues and escalate software problems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or a related field
• Over 3 years of experience with acoustic measurement systems (HATS, Audio Precision, Listen SoundCheck)
• Experience working with anechoic chambers
• Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python for acoustic data processing
• Experience tuning render system algorithms for consumer electronics
• Solid understanding of electroacoustic principles and Thiele-Small parameters
• Knowledge of DSP fundamentals including biquad filters
• Strong lab discipline and documentation practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Acoustics
• Familiarity with AI tools and agentic workflows
• Previous experience with wearable or open-ear speaker systems
• Expertise in COMSOL acoustic simulations
• Understanding of ADB and Android audio stack
• Knowledge of speaker protection algorithms and multi-band DRC
• Experience with Klippel speaker measurement tools
