About the role
Responsibilities
- Design audio tools for sound design and music teams
- Develop process tools to drive automated build systems
- Create audio processing plugins for audio engines
- Link game systems to audio engines and authoring tools
- Implement complex new audio engine features
- Plan, document, and implement audio systems in collaboration with the audio programming team
- Support sound design and music production teams with tooling requests and debugging
- Ensure efficient, bug-free, and release-ready code
- Maintain and update audio middleware
Requirements
- Strong experience in C++ and object-oriented or data-oriented design
- Experience in C# .NET and WPF
- Strong knowledge of 3D mathematics
- Knowledge of acoustics and digital signal processing
- Experience with audio production software such as Pro Tools, Sound Forge, or Reaper
- Experience with Visual Studio or similar development environments
- Passion for audio and video games
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of streaming systems and multithreading
- Experience with VST development
- Experience with audio middleware like FMOD or Wwise
- Experience with graphical patching environments such as PD, MAX/MSP, or Reaktor
- Experience with Unity 3D or Unreal Engine
- Previous experience in the games industry
