Audio Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional audio experience for all Honda Center events, including Anaheim Ducks games and concerts
• Serve as the primary mix board operator for the majority of sports and other events
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, inventory, and repair of all arena sound systems, including intercom systems
• Manage and oversee the Riedel intercom system
• Work closely with event vendors and TV broadcast trucks to ensure all audio and communications needs are met
• Collaborate with internal Production and Building Operations departments on infrastructure repairs and maintenance
• Assist with arena and site RF coordination using Wireless Workbench
• Investigate and resolve operational problems, complaints, and emergency repairs in a timely manner
• Monitor audio mixes while simultaneously taking directions and cues in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of professional experience operating entertainment audio systems in a multipurpose sports arena or similar environment
• Experience with Yamaha CL5 digital mixing consoles or equivalent
• Strong technical knowledge of entertainment sound systems, signal flow, and audio routing
• Knowledge of IP and network topology
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor for extended periods
• Ability to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, holidays, late nights, and overnights

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dante, MADI, Q-SYS, Riedel communications systems, and Evertz routers
• Experience with RF coordination and Wireless Workbench
• Experience with emergency and HOH/assistive listening announcement systems
• Proficiency with inventory management and Microsoft Office Suite
