Audio Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Debug audio chain circuits including codecs, embedded DSPs, headphone amps, speaker amps, and microphones
• Achieve electrical performance targets using data-driven design approaches
• Perform validation and testing of audio circuit performance and full audio systems
• Design, specify, and implement product factory tests for audio system validation
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams on audio system bring-up and debugging
• Provide cross-functional leadership in audio system design to optimize audio quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Acoustics or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in audio system design
• Expertise in designing and debugging analog and digital circuits
• Proficiency in SPICE, Audio Precision, Oscilloscopes, OrCAD, or Cadence
• Proven experience with PCBA and product-level failure modes

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
• Experience designing circuits for codecs, DSPs, and power supplies
• Knowledge in transducer design and acoustic testing
• Familiarity with Android and Qualcomm audio debugging tools (adb, QXDM, QACT, AudioReach)
• Understanding of transistor-level IC design and silicon manufacturing
• Experience in audio speech quality testing using B&K or ACQUA
• Experience with coexistence testing for audio
