Audio DSP Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize core audio signal processing algorithms including AGC, AEC, and NR
• Develop signal processing solutions optimized for various vehicle conditions
• Develop seat-specific voice recognition and signal separation technologies using multi-microphone data
• Build scalable algorithms for diverse seating arrangements and acoustic environments
• Tune and optimize preprocessing technologies for OEM vehicle projects
• Support mass production projects, manage schedules, and resolve technical requirements
• Perform signal quality testing, debugging, and system stabilization
• Reduce dependency on outsourced solutions through internal technology development
• Maintain and advance technologies post mass production

Requirements

• Experience designing audio signal processing and preprocessing algorithms (AGC, AEC, NR)
• Knowledge or experience in voice recognition and signal separation
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and C/C++ for signal processing and algorithm implementation
• DSP development and debugging experience
• Experience managing schedules and analyzing requirements in mass production projects
• Collaboration and communication skills with internal teams and external partners
• Vehicle audio system development experience or equivalent domain experience
• Experience with acoustic technology research or applications in multi-microphone environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying machine learning or deep learning to voice signal processing
• Experience developing and tuning voice recognition systems such as wake-up word detection
• Experience researching and implementing acoustic scenarios with external vehicle microphones
• Collaboration experience with OEM or Tier 1 suppliers
• Experience verifying and managing quality of audio systems in mass production
• Creative problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges
• Ability to make clear technical decisions and collaborate effectively with teammates
