Audience Producer

Responsibilities

• Produce engaging social media content for CNBC across platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
• Clip broadcast footage and edit it into vertical formats for social-first video consumption
• Work closely with reporters to create compelling video content and graphics
• Identify key interview moments to drive audience engagement back to CNBC's website and broadcast
• Execute social strategy and manage day-to-day posting schedules
• Monitor social analytics to optimize content and posting strategies
• Write all social copy in American English, ensuring consistency with CNBC style
• Collaborate with TV and Digital editorial teams to coordinate story promotion
• Maintain availability for a 10am-6pm shift, with flexibility for non-traditional hours during breaking news events

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in social media or audience development
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop for video editing and graphic design
• Strong news judgment and a deep understanding of journalism standards
• Excellent writing, grammar, and copy-editing skills
• Experience using CMS and analytics tools (e.g., Parse.ly or Chartbeat)
• Proven track record of growing social media accounts for a major brand

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial news coverage and breaking news environments
• Skills in Adobe Illustrator and After Effects
• Passion for business news and personal finance stories
