Attorney

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of oil and gas industry agreements, including drilling, technology, and master services contracts.
• Analyze and interpret laws, statutes, and regulations to identify compliance areas and manage potential legal risks.
• Provide legal guidance on corporate and strategic transactions, such as acquisitions, joint ventures, and inter-company relationships.
• Support litigation efforts by reviewing pleadings, preparing discovery, and assisting with witness preparation.
• Assist Human Resources with employment matters and conduct workplace investigations into allegations of misconduct.
• Partner with business units to develop and implement action plans that integrate legal risk with business objectives.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Oklahoma (or eligible for admission within six months of hire).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the oil and gas industry or international law.
• Previous experience working in-house or with a strong regional or national law firm.
• Fluency in Spanish or Arabic.
• Ability to travel internationally as needed.
