Athletics Lifeguard

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment for open swim and aquatic competitions
• Enforce and promote all pool policies to ensure user safety
• Monitor pool activities and be prepared to handle any aquatic emergencies
• Promote a positive and cooperative environment for all pool users
• Work a regular schedule of 10:00am-1:00pm Monday through Friday, with additional hours required for home water polo games and swim meets

Requirements

• Must be a current University of La Verne (ULV) student
• Must hold a current Lifeguarding Certificate
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous lifeguarding experience
• Previous experience working in a pool environment
