About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and instruct group fitness classes including yoga, strength, indoor cycling, Pilates, and Zumba
  • Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and form to ensure participant safety and effectiveness
  • Evaluate participant abilities and maintain a safe, inclusive environment
  • Maintain the order and cleanliness of the exercise space before, during, and after classes
  • Ensure all fitness equipment is functional and properly maintained
  • Manage class rosters and communicate effectively using DSE software systems

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Nationally recognized, accredited fitness certification in the field of instruction
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
  • Valid Child Protection Clearances (Act 153)

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in fitness teaching or instruction
  • Demonstrated passion for health and wellness
