About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist with publicity and media coverage for 22 NCAA Division II athletic programs
  • Write press releases, feature stories, and compile statistics for internal and external dissemination
  • Design digital and traditional assets including game day graphics and social media posts
  • Manage and develop content for the athletics website and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X)
  • Capture and edit high-quality video and photo content at athletic events and practices
  • Support live stream production for home events, including setup and real-time management
  • Maintain flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays to align with game schedules
  • Assist with special events and other departmental content requests

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management abilities
  • Knowledge of the functions of a collegiate athletics department
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with video recording, editing, and motion graphics
  • Previous intercollegiate athletics or professional sports experience
  • Basic experience with in-game statistical programs such as Statcrew, PrestoSports, or Genius Sports

Benefits

  • Total compensation of $25,200 for the 10-month duration (July to May)
  • Optional university meal plan (taxable)
