Athletics Budget Administrator

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and budgeting operations of the University’s Athletics program to ensure prudent fiscal oversight.
• Implement short and long-range financial planning initiatives in collaboration with the Athletic Director.
• Prepare statistical and financial reports to assist in the decision-making process.
• Review budgetary projections against actual operating results and identify potential discrepancies.
• Serve as the centralized point for operational expenditures, grants, and personnel transactions within the department.
• Maintain departmental budgets, including restricted funds, and manage budget transfers and purchase orders.
• Collaborate with campus stakeholders to support external grant proposals and maintain documentation for contracts.
• Enforce University, NCAA, and financial controls to ensure compliance and data integrity.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Provost’s Office, Financial Accounting Services, and the Budget Office.

Requirements

• Experience in financial planning and budget management.
• Knowledge of NCAA regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in analyzing and monitoring financial and fund accounting systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience working within a collegiate athletics environment.
