Athletics Academic Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support and guidance to an assigned group of student-athletes
• Monitor academic progress and NCAA, conference, and institutional eligibility
• Serve as a secondary advisor regarding class schedules and appropriate course placement
• Develop strategies to enhance academic performance and provide counsel on career plans
• Monitor grades, facilitate communication with professors, and track assignments
• Coordinate with the Faculty Athletic Representative to track missed assignments due to travel
• Provide real-time academic progress updates to coaching staff
• Monitor study hall sessions and adhere to all NCAA and institutional regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple requests
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and other computer systems
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the administration of intercollegiate athletics
• Experience working with diverse student populations, including those at academic risk
