Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive and follow-up athletic training for student-athletes.
• Supervise medical records, including physicals, insurance, and UIL documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in dressing rooms, showers, and training rooms.
• Attend varsity football games, sub-varsity football, and various home sporting events including volleyball, basketball, soccer, and track.
• Develop and implement training programs utilizing coaches, managers, and student trainers.
• Maintain inventory of training supplies and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all UIL rules and district policies regarding athletics.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to support the educational development of athletes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Valid Texas Athletic Certificate.
• Proven experience in athletic training.
• General knowledge of training techniques and procedures.
• Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Texas Teacher certificate.
