Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site injury evaluation and acute care at athletic events
• Make return-to-play decisions based on clinical judgment and best practices
• Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and staff
• Coordinate care and referrals when necessary
• Maintain appropriate documentation for injuries and services provided
• Maintain readiness of event medical equipment by verifying kit contents and AED functionality

Requirements

• Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Virginia (or eligible)
• Current CPR/AED certification
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
