Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities

Event Coverage:

• Provide on-site injury evaluation and acute care at athletic events
• Make return-to-play decisions based on clinical judgment and best practices
• Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and staff
• Coordinate care and referrals when necessary
• Maintain appropriate documentation for injuries and services provided
• Maintain readiness of event medical equipment and AED functionality

In-Clinic Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists with patient care and clinic flow
• Support exercise supervision and implementation of treatment plans
• Complete documentation and administrative support tasks

Requirements

• Licensed Athletic Trainer in Virginia (or eligible)
• Current CPR/AED certification
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to variable scheduling needs

Preferred Qualifications

• CSCS, NASM, ACSM, or ISSA certification
