About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide preventative and therapeutic treatments, including injury evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for intercollegiate student-athletes.
- Manage the athletic training room and maintain accurate injury care records in compliance with NCAA, HIPAA, and NATA guidelines.
- Develop and implement strength and conditioning programming for athletes during regular and non-traditional seasons.
- Provide medical coverage for home and away games and practices throughout the school year and vacation periods.
- Collaborate with the team physician to complete pre-season physical examinations and weekly treatments.
- Supervise student athletic trainers and certified trainers as needed for contest and practice coverage.
- Monitor pre-existing health conditions of student-athletes and communicate health insurance policies to athletes and coaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
- NATABOC certification.
- CSCS certification.
- Four years of athletic training experience at a college or university level.
- Valid California driver’s license.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a related field.
- Two or more years of experience implementing strength and conditioning programming for four-year intercollegiate athletes.
- Certification to teach CPR.
- Class B California driver's license.
