Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative and therapeutic treatments, including injury evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for intercollegiate student-athletes.
• Manage the athletic training room and maintain accurate injury care records in compliance with NCAA, HIPAA, and NATA guidelines.
• Develop and implement strength and conditioning programming for athletes during regular and non-traditional seasons.
• Provide medical coverage for home and away games and practices throughout the school year and vacation periods.
• Collaborate with the team physician to complete pre-season physical examinations and weekly treatments.
• Supervise student athletic trainers and certified trainers as needed for contest and practice coverage.
• Monitor pre-existing health conditions of student-athletes and communicate health insurance policies to athletes and coaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
• NATABOC certification.
• CSCS certification.
• Four years of athletic training experience at a college or university level.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a related field.
• Two or more years of experience implementing strength and conditioning programming for four-year intercollegiate athletes.
• Certification to teach CPR.
• Class B California driver's license.
