About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive maintenance, repair, and inspection of athletic facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and specialized sports equipment.
- Monitor and adjust Siemens Controls to manage air handlers, exhaust systems, and facility scheduling.
- Provide game day coverage for multiple sports, including pregame inspections of lighting, pumps, motors, and ice rink dehumidifying systems.
- Repair and maintain mechanical systems such as cooling towers, ice machines, water lines, and commercial refrigeration.
- Execute seasonal shutdowns of facility water systems, including draining and disassembling heaters and concession equipment.
- Install and repair electrical components, including wiring, motors, conduit, and circuit breakers.
- Utilize welding, brazing, and soldering techniques for the fabrication and repair of metal fixtures and structures.
- Conduct routine inspections of steam, hot water, fire, and sprinkler systems to ensure operational safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 years of professional maintenance experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work nights, evenings, weekends, and overtime as required for event coverage.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a hospitality, athletic, hotel, or convention facility environment.
- CPO License and Aerial Lift & Forklift Certification.
- Relevant coursework in electrical, welding, or HVAC.
- Operational knowledge of Building Automation Systems (Siemens or Johnson Controls preferred).
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
