About the role

Responsibilities

  • Monitor facility security by checking membership cards, performing regular walk-throughs of indoor and outdoor areas, and securing doors.
  • Provide high-quality customer service by answering inquiries regarding schedules, memberships, and fees, and managing equipment/towel counters.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including first aid requirements and building evacuations, following standard operating procedures.
  • Manage facility equipment and supplies, including setting up audiovisual gear, moving furniture, and maintaining inventory of athletic equipment and laundry.
  • Perform general operational tasks such as commercial laundry services, light housekeeping in locker rooms, and maintaining detailed activity logs.
  • Assist with facility lock-up procedures and ensure all personnel have vacated the premises.

Requirements

  • Completion of Grade 12 diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service-oriented role.
  • Valid Standard First Aid, AED, and CPR certification (must be completed within the probationary period).
  • Basic computer skills and the physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle conflict and interact professionally with a diverse population.
