Athletic Equipment & Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

• Maintain and inspect fitness center equipment, including cardio, strength, and free weights
• Manage the setup and breakdown of arena and field equipment for NCAA athletic events
• Oversee inventory management for team apparel, footwear, and the Highlander Athletics Team Store
• Coordinate laundry services for athletic teams and recreational services
• Schedule, mentor, and provide supervisory oversight for student employees
• Manage facility access, including the Locker Room Digilock system and concession stand inventory
• Assist with the operation of facility lighting, dividing walls, and aquatic equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience working in a Recreational Services or Athletic Department environment
• Proficiency with Google Docs and Google Sheets
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move equipment weighing up to 40lbs
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse team
