About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Athletics Communications Director in media relations, website maintenance, and livestreaming.
  • Manage in-game scorekeeping, statistical reporting, and photography/image management.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise a student work-study staff of 14-21 students.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Media team and social media coordinator to promote the Luther brand.
  • Provide event coverage and follow-up reporting for NCAA Division III athletics programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in athletics marketing and communications at a professional or student level.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of in-game statistical programs and NCAA statistical guidelines.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends in accordance with athletic schedules.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and lift up to 20 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience at athletic events.
  • Experience with video streaming and athletic photography.
