Athletic Coach

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Cheer Team
• Organize and supervise all practices, games, and campus events
• Oversee recruitment, tryouts, and medical clearance for all participants
• Manage the Cheer Team budget, including ordering uniforms and necessary supplies
• Schedule practice times and direct the team during men’s and women’s basketball games
• Plan team-building and morale-building activities for the squad

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 1-3 years of previous coaching experience, specifically with spirit programs or cheerleading
• Working knowledge of NCAA and Missouri Valley Conference rules and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience in stunting, spotting, tumbling, choreography, or mascot training
• Knowledge of applicable safety standards for spirit squads
