Responsibilities

• Greet athletes, fans, and guests to set a high-energy, welcoming tone
• Check in players efficiently and ensure smooth front-of-house flow
• Answer questions, direct people, and resolve minor concerns on the spot
• Support the setup and breakdown of the game night environment
• Maintain energy levels across the gym throughout the event
• Represent the Brodie brand with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Engage meaningfully with athletes and fans to build community

Requirements

• Outgoing, high-energy personality
• Strong communication skills and professional presence
• Availability for evenings and weekends
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-energy event environment
• Passion for sports and community
• Must operate as a self-employed individual responsible for own tax and HST obligations

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in events, hospitality, sports, or customer-facing roles
• Familiarity with Ottawa's basketball or recreational sports community
• Experience as a player or fan in a competitive rec league setting
