ATC System Designer

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer documentation and functional requirements to identify gaps with Alstom’s generic signaling solutions.
• Produce system and sub-system specifications, defining architecture and interface requirements.
• Collaborate with Development Centers to validate proposed adaptations and ensure implementation by software teams.
• Configure equipment and test benches to integrate and test solutions at the design level in a lab environment.
• Participate in system tests (Track-On-board) and support investigations on trains when required.
• Act as a technical contact point for internal stakeholders and customers, conducting technical design reviews.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Automation, Computer Science, Systems, or similar).
• Experience in safety-critical environments such as railway, aerospace, or defense.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex technical systems.
• Proficiency in English and a good command of French.
• Familiarity with requirement management and traceability tools (e.g., DOORS, ClearQuest).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of system design methodologies such as UML or SysML.
• Basic understanding of ERTMS/ETCS principles.
• Proficiency in German is considered an asset.
