About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive administrative and customer service support to a trust agent and their portfolio of accounts.
  • Manage day-to-day account administration, including monitoring cash positions and providing corrective reports.
  • Create and enter accurate accounting entries for third-party payments, asset realizations, and fee collections.
  • Prepare detailed fee calculations for estate and trust accounts in accordance with local industry practices.
  • Gather asset information for new accounts, including tax cost research and preparation of opening inventories.
  • Prepare routine correspondence and documentation for internal control groups and beneficiary/court approvals.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for external stakeholders in the absence of the trust agent.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Enrollment in financial industry courses (e.g., CSC, IFIC, STEP Canada, or ICB).
  • Practical knowledge of asset management and administrative procedures.
  • Basic understanding of fiduciary accounting principles.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in both French and English to collaborate with national teams and serve diverse clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in providing high-end customer service to high-net-worth individuals.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new complex financial concepts.
