Associate/Associate Director, Equity Sales

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the firm's efforts to service U.S.-based institutional clients on a daily basis, focusing on New York, Boston, and the U.S. South.
• Develop deep knowledge of client needs to increase coverage penetration and respond to specific requests efficiently.
• Partner with sales, research, and trading professionals to deliver coordinated services and deepen Scotiabank's relationship with client organizations.
• Deliver research to institutional clients, recommending specific investments that align with their investment styles.
• Represent Scotiabank at corporate events, including institutional roadshows, investor meetings, and industry conferences.
• Ensure all activities comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and risk management protocols.

Requirements

• 10+ years of related experience, including a significant portion in an Equity Sales role.
• Proven experience in institutional client coverage, preferably selling Canadian research ideas to U.S. clients.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic and professional record.
• Active Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
• Strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

• CFA designation or equivalent professional certification.
