Associate Women's Basketball Coach

Responsibilities

• Develop and supervise student-athletes within the women's basketball program to ensure academic and athletic success.
• Recruit highly qualified prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA regulations and University standards.
• Assist with the planning and coordination of in-season and out-of-season practices, including individual skill instruction.
• Contribute to competition strategy, game-day coaching, and the development of opponent scouting reports.
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress and coordinate with Athletics Student Services and Compliance.
• Assist with program administrative duties, including budget management, travel coordination, and equipment oversight.
• Promote the women's basketball program through fundraising, marketing activities, and community engagement.
• Maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, media, parents, and other university stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three years of Division I coaching or playing experience (or experience at the high school, club, or non-Division I NCAA level).
• Thorough knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
• Proven experience in recruiting student-athletes.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of students and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong computer skills.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for individual athlete development and mentorship.
• Experience with fundraising and strategic plan implementation.
