Associate Water Use Inspector

Responsibilities

• Direct borough-wide Water Use Inspection Programs by supervising and evaluating lower-rank inspectors
• Prepare in-service training programs and direct special surveys
• Interpret and enforce Department rules and regulations
• Review and advise on submissions regarding water sale and use
• Prepare reports and conduct special inspections
• Direct follow-up inspections for warnings and violations
• Coordinate summons and violation submissions to the Environmental Control Board
• Assist in planning inspection programs based on data reports

Requirements

• Three years of full-time mechanical experience in plumbing or water use inspection
• One year of experience in a supervisory capacity
• Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift heavy items
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and handle mandatory overtime/weekends
• Valid driver's license to drive a motor vehicle
