About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive institutional vision for student success, engagement, belonging, and well-being.
  • Lead Student Affairs and Resources (StAR) and oversee academic advising, residence life, student conduct, and career services.
  • Partner with faculty and academic leaders to integrate curricular and co-curricular learning experiences.
  • Provide strategic leadership for student well-being, including mental health, physical health, and wellness initiatives.
  • Oversee student crisis response, behavioral intervention, and the institutional CARE Team.
  • Lead efforts to cultivate an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming campus environment.
  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, and assessment efforts to measure institutional effectiveness.
  • Serve as a principal advisor to the Provost on matters affecting campus climate and the student experience.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in higher education administration, student affairs, counseling, educational leadership, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in student affairs, student success, or academic support.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex organizations and strategic initiatives.
  • Proven experience supervising professional staff and managing budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of FERPA, ADA, Title IX, and the Clery Act.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate in higher education, educational leadership, or a related field.
  • Experience at an innovative, mission-driven institution with an emphasis on student-centered learning.
  • Expertise in assessment, institutional effectiveness, and data-informed decision-making.
