Associate Vice President of Institutional Advancement

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for frontline fundraising efforts and manage a portfolio of 50 to 75 high-capacity major gift prospects
• Work with college leadership to define fundraising priorities and create strategic campaigns that advance the College’s strategic plan
• Supervise, train, and evaluate a team of frontline fundraisers and oversee the Annual Giving program
• Lead the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations
• Provide high-level support for the development activities of the President, Trustees, and other senior staff
• Set activity and solicitation goals for fundraisers and track progress using appropriate metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s degree preferred)
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, development, and organizational leadership
• Proven experience in major gifts, annual giving, and capital campaigns
• Demonstrated success in leading teams to meet ambitious fundraising goals
• Proficiency with advancement CRM systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce) and analytics platforms
• Strong knowledge of donor-centered fundraising, gift planning vehicles, and complex gift structures
• Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and supervisory skills
