About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for community health, mental health, and wellness programs
  • Supervise and manage department heads for Counseling & Psychological Services (CaPS), University Health Services (UHS), and Wellness and Meaning-Making Programs (WMM)
  • Lead strategic planning efforts and develop campus-wide outreach and communication plans
  • Support the University’s case management and behavioral intervention responsibilities
  • Assist in fundraising and grant-writing efforts to support new facilities and ongoing programs
  • Serve as a core member of the Student Affairs Leadership Team, providing counsel on student health and well-being to institutional leadership
  • Support campus emergency preparedness and response

Requirements

  • Master's degree in health, counseling, wellness, student affairs administration, higher education, or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in health, mental health, or health promotion administration
  • Proven track record of success in management and supervision within a healthcare or wellness context
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, including Child Protection Clearances

Preferred Qualifications

  • Terminal degree in a related field
  • Direct experience in a college or university student health, mental health, or health promotion setting
  • Experience managing public health issues, crisis management, and emergency response
  • Experience working with behavioral intervention teams
  • Experience with grant writing
