Associate Vice President, Development

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of short- and long-term fundraising strategies to grow the University’s philanthropic program.
• Manage a team including development officers, the planned giving director, and the prospect management & research team.
• Maintain a personal portfolio of high-capacity prospects and donors, with direct responsibility for securing major and planned gifts.
• Oversee moves management and refine prospect portfolios to maximize fundraising effectiveness.
• Support campaign planning efforts, including pipeline development and readiness assessments for a future comprehensive campaign.
• Collaborate with campus partners to align fundraising efforts with institutional priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Proven experience in major gift pipeline management.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
• Willingness to engage in regular and overnight travel, as well as evening and weekend commitments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing priorities within a comprehensive fundraising campaign environment.
• Demonstrated success in securing significant major and planned giving commitments.
