About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent patient care through physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.
  • Utilize a problem-based approach to develop diagnostic plans and appropriate treatments.
  • Document all patient observations, findings, treatments, and client interactions in detailed medical records.
  • Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals.
  • Execute dental procedures, including full examinations, radiographs, and complex extractions.
  • Develop treatment plans for hospitalized patients and ensure continuity of care through effective communication.
  • Participate in clinical rounds and disseminate medical knowledge to the hospital staff.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • Active state veterinarian licensure (or ability to obtain by start date).
  • Current DEA license.
  • USDA Category I Accreditation (or completion within two months of hire).
  • Proficiency in anesthesia and routine surgical procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in emotional or stressful situations.
